this weekend...

i think this weekend is going to be a good one.

friday night i'm determined to make a casual summer dinner at home - and perhaps even set our table with some candles and fresh flowers. we're in need of a date night that doesn't consist of ordering in pizza {its been happening too frequently as of late}. the menu is: mixed green salad with grilled peaches, goat cheese, chopped pecans, and a bit of red onion with a homemade balsamic vinegar {inspired by this recipe} - spinach and ricotta ravioli with homemade pasta dough {of course!} topped with a simple tomato sauce and this biscotti for dessert.

saturday i'm working :)

sunday i'm trying to convince yt to take me blueberry picking so i can make a big blueberry pie, or little individual blueberry crisps, or blueberry muffins, or all of the above! you would think that would be enough motivation right there, right? we're also making a trip to home depot for some paint. tuesday i'll be painting a small accent wall in our living room light gray, and then another tiny wall {literally no more than 3 feet wide} a dark midnight blue. i'm so excited to see the final product - and to share pictures eventually!

lastly, breaking bad is back on sunday. we're a bit addicted in our home! we'll be on the couch sunday night ready to watch - perhaps with some popcorn and candy :)
