Info Post
Artwork can really change the look and feel of any home. In our new apartment, I've basically scrapped all of our old artwork and am starting from scratch. I didn't love any of it, none of it went together, and who doesn't want an excuse to go shopping for some new art! Here are some of the ideas I'm considering:

For the living room, I'm thinking about doing a large abstract piece myself over the couch. Inspired by something like the below. Our living room color scheme is black, white, and gray - but perhaps I'll throw some silver and gold in there - or one color for a pop.

I've also toyed with the idea of doing a gallery wall. You can choose from so many pictures and prints, they don't have to match completely, and it's still rather trendy. However, yt isn't a fan of the idea, and I'm not sure my hanging skills are up to par. We might wind up with eight paintings, none of them straight.

For the kitchen, I only have a small area (below the cabinets and above the counter to work with) but I'm thinking of doing a series of small framed photographs of close ups of food, like the below. I'm kind of obsessed with the vibrant colors of this avocado.

For the bedroom, I'm copying a friend and doing a DIY project for over the bed. Apparently it's not only doable (but easy) to print on burlap. I'm thinking of printing a quote across six frames above the bed (two rows of three). We're still brainstorming the perfect quote, but I'll keep you updated!

So friends, what's hanging in your home? Do you have anything you absolutely love? Prints, paintings, photography, etc?
