Scotland is probably one of the most beautiful countries I've ever been to. Period. Much of the country has the quintessential old city feel with it's small towns and tiny streets PLUS some gorgeous mountain views. I can just picture myself there, taking advantage of the freezing cold winter with a hot cocoa in hand in front of a fire - can't you? I'll hand it over to Megan who is here to tell us all of the reasons she loves her Scottish city - Glasgow!
Hi ladies and ladies!
I am Megan from Across The Pond
I am here today to talk to you about the current city i live in..
which is Glasgow, Scotland..
although I am originally from Los Angeles California..
and ive only been in scotland for a few months..
and moved her from Nottingham England..where I finished my post grad degree.
confused?
Lets talk about Scotland..
I've lived in Glasgow for 3 months.
Glasgow has so many amazing restaurants, but my favorite spots to dine are:

*Tribeca (an american style restaurant) for Sunday brunch
My favorite shopping spot is Zara...I mean, thats a given right? Are we talking about stores? If its locations then I prefer going to an indoor mall rather then taking a sub into the town centre..which is okay when the weather is nice..but id much rather the door to door service of the car to the indoor mall...I am American after all...
One hidden gem in Glasgow is Loch Lomond. Its not a hidden Gem..and technically its not IN Glasgow..but its just a short drive outside the city and it.is.breathtaking...

When I have visitors, three places I insist on taking them are Kelvin Park,
The University of Glasgow and The City Centre...specifically George Square.
The University of Glasgow and The City Centre...specifically George Square.
| just a small portion of the university. its like harry potter up in there. |
If I have a free day in the city, you'll likely find me at Americandy...to get all my overly prices imported american goods.
My favorite season in the city is Spring, Summer, and Fall...anything but winter really..but Spring is pretty dang magical..I have a thing for cherry blossom trees.
If I could describe Glasgow in three words they would be Urban, Cold and Lively.
My favorite thing about Glasgow is The country of Scotland..the city itself is a bit bleh..i mean, its no Edinburgh..but it does have some great restaurants. But Scotland as a whole..is so stunning.
Although I love Glasgow, if I could move to one other city tomorrow it would be Edinburgh OR back home to Los Angeles (but only if i won the lottery and could buy a home in that over priced market).
So who is gonna move to Scotland now? anyone? anyone?
Thanks so much for stopping by Megan! Americandy sounds like one amazing place. Rows of pop tarts and macaroni and cheese? Yes, please!
Check back next week for another non U.S. city.
