Thanks to Nescafe, I had the opportunity to meet this culinary master and have quite the candid conversation with him. He spoke about the importance of eating dinner at home with his wife each night, he provided a few updates on his newest venture (a butcher shop in Chicago) and we bonded over our love for Zingerman's, an amazing deli in Ann Arbor (the city where I spent my college years). When asked what the restaurant trends will be in the upcoming year, Kahan replied "good food and good service, those are always the trends". I couldn't agree more.
I also have very high praises for the Nescafe Dolce Gusto coffee machine. I talked about my love for coffee here and I'm confident this machine will change my Starbucks dependent ways. While the event was hosted by Nescafe, I would never promote anything on this blog that I did not honestly love, promise!
