Labor Day Weekend

While the summer will soon be completely over, I'm so excited for the Fall season. I've had such a lovely summer spending time with family and friends, traveling, wedding planning and enjoying the warmer months in Chicago.

This weekend, I was lucky enough to buy myself a new camera. I'm so excited to start using it.

Saturday was the first Michigan football game, and as I mentioned, food is a hugely important aspect of watching any football game. I made soft pretzels to munch on during the game. This recipe is ABSOLUTELY worth sharing, so you'll see it sometime this week!

Sunday we checked out a new Chicago brunch spot - Lula Cafe. While we waited for our table, we bopped around Logan Square farmer's market and grabbed some fresh eggplant. I'm going to make some eggplant parmesan tonight - one of my favorite classic Italian meals.

I plan on spending my work-free Monday outside with a lakeside run or bike ride, relaxing, and cooking up some goodies. Goodbye Summer, hello Fall!
