Info Post

It's December.

I had to remind you just in case ridiculously warm temperatures confused you these last couple of days.

It's December 4th. Here in Chicago, hats and gloves should be necessary, and boots should be the norm, and tights with skirts and dresses should be the obvious decision each morning. We shouldn't be leaving our jackets at home... that's for sure.

I walked home in 70 degree weather last night.

But I'm not complaining... because that would be dumb. Instead I'm going to show you a pretty array of gold sequin goodness, that are completely December appropriate regardless of the weather.

I have a funny story about sequins... and now seems like an appropriate time to share it with you...

For those of you who don't know, English is not yt's first language... it's actually his fourth. Most people wouldn't know that upon meeting him because he doesn't have an accent, and he's often correcting my English {totes embarrassing since English is the first and only language I speak}.

Well, last year I was doing my blogging business on the computer, and yt was peering over my shoulder {because sometimes he's interested in my blogging business} and I was looking at something with the word sequins in it...

and yt says: what is a "seck-win"?

me: a seck-win?
yt: yeah, that word right there {pointing to the screen}
me: oh, a "seeee-quin"?
yt: yeah, are you sure that's how you say it?
me: yes. its a sparkly thing you put on clothes and stuff.
yt: oh, interesting.

I had a good laugh. I guess in his 26 years of life, he really had never needed to know what a sequin was ... I should probably be thankful for that :)

Here's a lovely roundup of some "seck-win" goodies... I want each and every one.
